Kindness Journal

Pay it forward

101 Drums built on kindness. Please share with us a story of paying forward an act of unconditional kindness, self-initiated or by way of someone they know or know of.
Each entry will be accompanied by a place to insert the name of whom the ‘good news story’ is dedicated to. The individual’s dedicated name will be wood burned onto one of thirteen sections within one of the 101 drum frames. These ‘good news stories’ will become infused into the Dewegun medicine, helping to create a collectively empowered ‘next sentence’. Imagine years later looking back at this project with family and friends, reflecting on the wonderful lasting memories made throughout everyone’s participation in this journey.

Win a Drum!

With each submission of a ‘Good News Story’ the ‘101 Deweguns’ Collective will enter a ticket on your behalf into a monthly draw for a 15” Commemorative Dewegun.
The first draw takes place on June 21 st , 2021, with each consecutive draw taking place on the 20th of each month up until all Deweguns have been Birthed / Feasted. Each winning ticket is removed from the draw, with all others remaining in play.

Your winning Dewegun will be handcrafted in its entirety with your good energy in mind. All frames and hides will be similar to the ones used in the ‘101 Deweguns’ project. You will have your colour choice of walnut, purple or turquoise for the finished drum hide covering.

Once complete, your Dewegun will be shipped to you free of charge.

This is our humble way of saying “Thank you” for all the out flowing of continued support towards the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund
