Sara Palmieri

Sara Palmieri started her role at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre (PAC) in St. Catharines in February 2015 after 12 years with the Centre for the Arts, Brock University, where she held the role of Sales & Marketing Manager. As the Director of Programming and Marketing at the PAC, she is responsible for programming yearly professional presentation seasons, overseeing the film program, audience engagement and development strategies, developing community outreach and workshop programs, marketing initiatives, audience development, sponsorship as well as overseeing the marketing team.

Sara is an active member of the cultural community in St. Catharines-Niagara and beyond as a co-founder of the In the Soil Arts Festival, past Vice President of Ontario Presents – Ontario’s Presenting Network, and volunteers for a number of other organizations. A local arts advocate and facilitator of cultural initiatives, Sara is well-connected in the community and has supported and promoted local arts organizations and projects for many years. She was on Suitcase in Point Theatre Company’s Board of Directors for 8 years, 4 of which she held the role as President. Sara is passionate about arts and culture in Niagara and has always been excited about its central role in shaping, sustaining and transforming communities. She values creativity, a sense of accomplishment and is open to change. She is hard working and passionate about working in the collaborative, fun and inclusive environment of Niagara’s cultural sector.
